Contrails: Feb '26, Week 2

✨ Gaming -- Cleared FFXIV Patch 7.4 Savage Raid tier, finished Disco Elysium, and played the Super Money Ball Festival in Sonic Racing! 🎉

Firstly, I have to admit: I didn't believe that my static would clear M12S during our 2nd session of the week. But by the magic of friendship (I mean, call-outs, DPS carries, and potions), we cleared the moment we scraped through the last major mechanic.

Was too focused on taking the group shot that I didn't take a solo! Besides, I wasn't wearing my usual red Sharlayan uniform (wore olive green instead).

What a relief that we managed to meet the target set by our static leader in the end (they were hoping for a Week 4 to 6 clear. We cleared mid-week 6.). 🥹

I'm kind of itching to play a different job while waiting for the next expansion though. Maybe I'll choose which job to play based on whether or not I get a raid weapon for another job. 🤔🤔🤔 Maybe I'll roll for Sage, Summoner, Dancer, Dragoon, Scholar, Ninja, and Gunbreaker weapons... (in that order of preference)

Sonic Racing ticket collection for Steam achievements is going swimmingly. With the Super Monkey Ball festival over the weekend, I managed to make huge progress since the event gave out tickets as rewards for taking part! 🎉

I should be able to get one more achievement by the end of this week! Then it's another long grind for the very last achievement. 🥺💖

Oh yes, and I finished Disco Elysium! The ending felt bittersweet, which is odd if you consider that the total in-game time was less than a week. What made it even stranger was that this wasn't a short game in comparison to some other RPGs I've played: I spent 38.6 hours immersed in that world, so it also felt a little too short to call it a day after "a few days" in the world. I guess it felt like the story ended just as I "found my bearings" after "living" in the world for a few days. 🤔

Overall, a great game! 💜 Enjoyed it very much!

My NekoAtsume game isn't going as great though. Been trying to lure 1 particular cat to no avail. 🥺 But what's there to be sad about looking at cute cats? 🥹💜

✨ Projects -- Recorded vocals for the next cover! 🎉

I cannot express just how much I've been looking forward to covering this song. Yuraia helped to give vocal direction during the recording session, suggesting that I have only 1 lead line for most of the song. I usually like to layer my voice, so this cover might have the most raw vocals in quite a while. I hope the cover turns out nice though. 🥹

Wish I could cover more songs from the same artist. But I have several other songs that I want to do this year, so I might do them next year or something. 🥺 Was hoping to push out this cover by the end of this month, but there is a chance that I won't make it in time. We'll see! 🤔

✨ Random interesting thing -- Made things!

I received a Ditto jelly mold as a housewarming gift, so I decided to try it out to make blueberry konnyaku jelly! It was very wobbly and cute! 💜💜💜 And yes, it is sitting on a Ditto plate.

My partner and I assembled a rainbow rose together for Valentine's Day. 💖 I did the crochet work, while he assembled the rose and arranged the accompanying fillers in the glass that we use as a mini vase. 💕 You can see last year's rose resting in a tiny bouquet. Come next year this one will join it's predecessor in the bouquet. ✨
