Contrails: Jun '26, Week 4

For some strange reason, I feel energetic/ mentally refreshed today, but the joints in my limbs feel sore. 🤔 I guess I did use my wrists a lot the past 2 weeks editing vocals and playing Forza and Risk of Rain... 🤔

Anyway, going to keep it short and sweet today!

Finished what I had set out to do, and with Yuraia's help we managed to have reference tracks ready for our friend to practice with before we meet for recording day! 🎉 I didn't realize how much I had locked in until I crashed on Friday night after submitting the files for mixing. 💀

I have some lines I'll need to re-record because I sang the wrong parts, but all's well for now! ✨ It's a few more weeks before recording day, so for now I'll look into another personal project. Pray that I don't give up halfway again. 🙃

🎮 Gaming 🎮

Played some Forza Horizon 6 this week! Got to play a little with Enki too! 🥹 I was glad to be of service, providing cornering cushioning to some players until I ended up behind. 🤣👍
Did some challenge runs in Risk of Rain 2. Tried going solo for the first time to attempt a Bandit achievement, was so close to either the achievement or completing a solo run, but failed after more than an hour at the very end... to fall damage from being launched into the air... 🥺💔 Was really sad for a while, but it's okay! Maybe another time? Also helped my partner get a Commando achievement for completing 20 stages in 1 run. We didn't expect the run to last 145mins though. 💀 Nearing the end I was borderline delirious. 🤣 Anyway all credit goes to my partner and the many drones who selflessly contributed to the cause.
There were more: Some were dead on the floor and had yet to be repurchased when this screenshot was taken. Some were left behind in previous stages when we started rushing through portals and I did not have sufficient gold to repurchase the Tier 2 drones. 🥺🥺🥺
Played Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds over the weekend during the Sonic 35th anniversary festival! Happy Birthday, Sonic! 🎉 It's been a while since I last played, so I struggled with the controls a little. 🤣
Fun fact: When you see a Wave, it's most of the time a bot. 🤣 If not, it might just be me! ✨
Watched my partner play Deltarune Chapter 5! A part of me wants to just wait for the game to be completed to enjoy the story in one-shot, but I know that my partner really loves the game and wanted to sink his teeth into it ASAP. 🥹 Thanks for sharing the game with me and friends! Praying for the full game to be released by the 10 year anniversary of Deltarune... on 31 October 2028... 🙃
