Contrails: Mar '26, Week 1

The week went by in a flash. I was focused on just a few things this week, and although they're still a work in progress, I think it was a productive week overall! 🥹

✨ Projects -- Started working on the video for this month's cover

The next cover won't be on my channel, so I'm putting in more effort than usual into the video. 🤣 My self-imposed deadline is this weekend because I have something else I want to work on after that has a hard deadline. I think I'm less than 50% done, and have less than half of my allocated time left, so I'm really praying for a smooth sailing week with lots of creative inspiration. 🥺

Looking forward to when the cover is published, though! ⭐️

✨ Gaming -- Tried the new FFXIV Variant & Criterion dungeon and Enshrouded

Besides the usual reclears, a few friends got together to challenge the new Variant & Criterion (V&C) dungeons. I quite enjoy playing with a smaller group of people, because even though everyone has their roles to play just like 8-person content, having 4 people is less chaotic... and I don't hear my friends talk about uploading their DPS records to FF logs. 🥺🥺🥺

I'm hoping that we'll be able to clear the Criterion dungeon this time (it's on the same difficulty as extreme trials/ savage raids), since it's been difficult finding people who are committed to clearing the content even when the rewards aren't attractive. 🥺

Er, almost forgot to write about trying Enshrouded. I had a long rant about it with my partner, but long story short is that I don't enjoy the game's controls/ physics. Also, I still dislike how the character models look. I think players who do not care so much about immersion/ realism can still enjoy this game though. For an action survival game controls are not difficult, building and crafting was designed for efficiency, and the game is still rather visually pleasing.

✨ IRL -- The Zebra Dove from a few weeks ago now has a chick! :O

Was on my way to have lunch with my family when I saw that the Zebra Dove from a few weeks back was no longer in its nest! 🤔 Looked a little closer and saw this little one trying its best to stay still as I approached. 🥹💜
