Well, well, well. This week turned out to be completely different from how I envisioned it. šŸ™ƒ But I think I made the most of it, so I'm not sad at all! ✨

Fun fact: Today's post is late as I had some work to rush out in the morning, and I'm tuned in to Enki's rare afternoon (morning) stream as I write. šŸŽµ

The good stuff before the bad stuff! Met my mother, who just returned from a trip to China, for lunch! We shared stories from our vacations, and exchanged souvenirs from Penang and China, though she bought way more stuff for me. 🤣 Had friends over to play Etherfields on Saturday, and touched grass again on Sunday to have Mother's Day lunch and dinner with my family. šŸ’•

Now, on to the bulk of my experience this week:

For some reason, I struggled with acid reflux, indigestion, and loss of appetite the whole week - like, the WHOLE week. I would start the day feeling rather normal, but would feel like any liquids or solids I consumed would just pile up in my stomach and eventually end with feeling like there's something stuck in my throat. I didn't experience bloating like I often do, but instead started burping even before I'm done with my food/ drink... consistently, at least 5-10x more often than I normally do. Before I felt better, it was already another meal time and the cycle repeats until I reset the next morning. šŸ¤”

On Saturday I had a migraine that turned the discomfort into nausea, leaving me unable to speak much during board games with friends. Taking paracetamol helped with the headache and stopped the nausea, but left my stomach feeling like it was on fire, and my throat like an ice cube was stuck there. šŸ™ƒ Fortunately the migraine never returned, so I just went back to dealing with just the acid reflux the next day.

I could have seen a doctor, but I was constantly hoping that it would just go away. I still feel the same today though, so maybe I'll see a doctor this week? We'll see. Deep down I still hope it will just miraculously go away. 🄺

Also, it turns out that the respite from the itch on my right hand was short lived. The last doctor I saw diagnosed me with ring worms despite my insistence that the itch doesn't spread. Still, I applied the steroid cream they prescribed for a whole week, which left my skin thinned out and sensitive to the slightest touch but no longer itchy, reddened, or scaly. I was hopeful that the problem, whatever it was, would be solved for good.

But after stopping the cream for 2 days, the itch returned, along with the redness and pustules (the moment it happens, my hand would become scaly after the pustules subside šŸ™ƒ). Yes, I'm a little sad, but I'm still glad to have something to treat it with! 🄹

I guess I will need to see a dermatologist for a long term solution, or maybe get a second referral letter from the doctor I'll see for my acid reflux? We'll see... 🄹

šŸŒ™ Work as Minerva šŸŒ™

I was determined to stay focused on making music my way at my own pace, but now I have 3 new collaborations planned. šŸ™ƒ What happened?! 🤣 It's a happy problem though! I got to spend time planning them instead, since the acid reflux left me with a sore (or minty?) throat, so I didn't feel well enough to practice my own stuff anyway. šŸ’€šŸŽ‰

I'll still spend May focusing on my own project though... after I feel better...

šŸŽ® Gaming šŸŽ®

RAT-AT-ANS!
RAT-AT-ANS!

The good thing about change is that it opens up other opportunities! I considered playing the 2nd Duck Detective game since I didn't feel well this week, but thought: If I'm going to play something new, why not check out Ratatan before the 1.0 release later this year? šŸŽµšŸŽµšŸŽµ

I initially planned to play it by myself, but my partner decided to join me, and we ended up playing for 3 days straight. 🤣 The best part about it is that despite the hours we've put in, we are still not good enough to beat the game. šŸ‘šŸ‘šŸ‘ I'm glad that I am learning new things with each run, and making small progress towards overcoming the different challenges with every attempt! āļø

That said, what is a week without Windrose? ⛵ No pictures this week, but I'm looking forward to returning to the seas. šŸ’œšŸ’œšŸ’œ

Also played a little Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds and Divinity Original Sin! Just a little though!

Actually, you know what? Maybe losing my appetite helped me to stay focused on gaming and not get distracted by hunger?!?! šŸ¤”šŸ¤”šŸ¤”

So the question is: Will I be singing along to Ratatan chants or Windrose sea shanties more this week? Either way, it sounds like a good time to me! šŸ’œ

But oh no! ZERO PARADES: For Dead Spies is going to be released very soon! To buy or not to buy?! 🄺 And Pirate Yakuza is still sitting in my library! I guess I have many happy problems in my life right now! šŸ„¹šŸ’œ

~šŸ’œ~

Hopes for this week

♪ Practice and record vocals if I'm better!

ā˜† Play Windrose! ⛵

ā˜† Enjoy dinner with some friends on Wednesday!

ā˜† Maybe join some friends to play FFXIV?

ā˜† Maybe play more Ratatan?

ā˜† Maybe see a doctor?

Thank you for reading! šŸŒ™šŸ°
