Looking back: Dec '25, Week 3

I just got back from Malaysia a few hours ago! The things I did earlier in the week feel so long ago, but I'll try my best to recap because it was a good week!

✨ Projects -- Ari published our cover of Kunio Matsuzaki's rendition of Jingle Bells

When Ari first shared this song with Yuraia and me, I jokingly said that I'll assign lyrics to the piece for Ari to make a vocal and piano cover of. But it slipped my mind, and we didn't discuss it any further. After a period of silence, Ari suddenly came back with a clip of her learning the piano piece, and I quickly gave her the lyrics I owed her... except that she then said that I HAD to cover it with her. 🤔 I wasn't sure if I could do it, but I tried recording my vocals the next day, sent her my recording, and sealed the deal.

It was an interesting experience, but I'd like to stick to singing in 4/4 please! 🤣

✨ Something interesting -- Took part in Ari's Q&A stream!

When I first thought of this Q&A stream idea several months back, I wasn't sure if Ari and her Daifukus would find it entertaining. But I thought that I could just leave the idea with her, so I did up a short write up and shared it with the group (Ari, Mogu, and Yuraia). To my surprise everyone was up for it, so with Yuraia's help I did up a question randomizer and added some questions. From the get-go, I already knew what I was going to request of Ari if I won, but I wasn't confident that I could beat Mogu (who has known Ari for longer) if he seriously tried to win.

The drawings on my sticky note after the win are mine, but not the random pictures. 🤔

So I decided that if I can't win, no one else shall. >:) I added loads of nonsensical questions, and gleefully waited for Ari to schedule the stream.

Fast-forward to Thursday night, I was determined to win. (:< And win I did! To be fair, I think I won only because Mogu was busy trolling, and even so it was a close race.

I was happy that the fam had fun! I just hope that Ari's viewers found it entertaining too... 🥺

✨ Gaming -- Played more Sonic Racing and FFXIV's latest Main Story Quest and normal content updates!

I didn't have many days to game because of the short week (Tuesday FFXIV Patch drop, Thursday stream), but I did get to play what I wanted to for the week!

I'm feeling anxious because I'll be doing the Extreme trial with my static tonight, but I'll try my best not to hold everyone back (because several of them went ahead to clear the fight while I was overseas). 😭😭😭

Hope I'll get time to play more Sonic Racing this week! 🥺💜

Cat update. :3 The tower is great.

Oh yes, and I'm proud to share that Baldur's Gate 3 is my most played game of the year...

... if you take away the time spent working while Spirit City was open! 🤣🤣🤣

For the days that we were overseas (19 to 21), we decided to open the advent calendar ahead of time in celebration of the vacation! 🥹 It was difficult parting from the impressive snack corner.

✨ Touching grass -- Went to Malaysia to attend Comic Fiesta '25 and hang out with Ari, Mogu and Yuraia!

I'm quite tired from the trip, so I'll share some photos instead!

The view when landing in Malaysia and Singapore. Singapore has so many densely packed high rise buildings that sometimes I wonder if the island is just going to sink. 🤔

Ate lots of food, and enjoyed Frappuccinos for the Winter vibes. 🤔 We had ice cream!

My outfit for Day 1 of the event! I lasted 4 hours in this get up before succumbing to a massive headache and feeling like I couldn't breathe in the insane crowd. That said, the crowd control has improved significantly since the last time I attended, so I probably would have had a better time if I was in a comfortable attire and wore a thinner mask. 🤔

Loot! Mostly mine, but some are Yuraia's. Was happy to see illustrations of Kasane Teto! ❤️ Don't ask how much money we had spent. 🥹

Went to Lalaport on Sunday as we had planned to only attend CF day 1. Saw a banner of all the games I swore never to play. :)

I had a great time with the fam, and can't wait to see Ari and Mogu again this weekend in Singapore! 💜

Also, I'm looking forward to using the stickers I got from the event on my planner for next year:

This book was printed in 2017, and I finally decided to turn it into my 2026 planner earlier this week! 💜
