Last week, I was determined to make good progress on a cover that I had recorded in the 1st week of January. "The song doesn't have many lines," I told myself, "it would be easier to edit than Fragrance, plus I've already made SOME progress!" I thought, psyching myself up.
✨ Monday - Friday: Pushed to complete my cover of A lot of life by Photon Maiden
Honestly, it was far from the most difficult project - I was probably just quite tired from trying to rush out my cover of Fragrance. 🥺 I wonder if anyone noticed that my Discord status was set to "🎼Editing vocals" for most of the week. 🤔

On the bright side, with Yuraia's help with mastering and tweaking my mix, I managed to get it published before the weekend!
A lot of people seem to compare BanG Dream! to D4DJ, some even saying it's just another version of the game. But as someone who has played both, and tried to explore the franchises beyond the game, I think that D4DJ is a better executed concept. I highly value immersion in games, so a major reason for dropping BanG Dream! about a year after it was released (I played it during the 1st year of international release) was because I realized that despite being called "Girls Band Party", majority of the starting units were not live band/ performance ready. The franchise felt like it was surviving on Roselia and Poppin' Party's live band image.
I like ESP guitars, and was intrigued when Ayasa was a part of Morfonica, but it also didn't change the fact that I really only liked Roselia. 🥺
What first got me interested in D4DJ wasn't that I found their characters a lot more likeable (Merm4id stole my heart please send help), but that DONUTS is the game developer. I loved the Tokyo 7th Sisters franchise for their storytelling, live concerts, and the major changes to the gameplay over the years. I think the main rhythm game mechanic has changed 2/3 times? I felt that the team behind the game seemed to care about how players felt about the game, and were willing to make drastic changes to improve the experience. Although D4DJ is a lot more stable, it still feels well taken care of, even after Bushiroad handed over operations to DONUTS.
Anyway, I enjoy the music from the D4DJ franchise a lot, so I hope to do more covers of their songs! I do want to cover one of Roselia's songs too though!
✨ Saturday - Recorded my vocals for a collaboration cover! (finally)
I can't wait to hear the finished mix and to share it with everyone! I always feel that my singing is not good enough, but this time I really hope that it was just good enough! 🥹 I hope we do the song justice. Please look forward to it!

✨ Sunday - Revisited Nightingale to check out their NEW dye channels system!
It's great. I was excited. Honestly, there hasn't been an update that I wasn't excited about. Looking forward to the main story update so that I have added motivation to sink hours into the game again!

Hopes for this week
♪ Practice the vocals for the next cover, and transcribe the MIDI for another cover. I have committed to prioritizing my collab. projects in March, so I have this week left for my own work. I'm making sure to pace myself though!
☆ FFXIV: ... Clear E8S. We're on our last 2 sessions. Hopefully we clear it today...
☆ Monster Hunter: Wilds: Will I get carpal tunnel from playing from Friday afternoon till Monday early morning? 🤔🤔🤔
☆ No Man's Sky: Finish the Titan Expedition... if I find alone time.
Thank you for reading! 🌙🐰
