Looking back: Mar '25, Week 2

Yesterday (Sunday) I told my sister-in-law over family lunch that I had a quiet week and didn't do much, and I received a death stare from Yuraia. 😬🥹 It's been quite a whirlwind, and haven't taken much time to reflect on the week... So now's the time to do just that!

✨ Streaming -- Played Viewfinder on Discord, and Chained Together on Ari's YouTube channel

I wish I was better at both games, but am thankful that I got to experience both of these thanks to friends!

I had Viewfinder on my Steam and Throne wishlist for quite some time, and a friend offered to get it for me for my birthday. 🥹💜 Thanks again, Miru!

I could have enjoyed the game by myself, but I wanted to do something for the kind souls (you!) who joined my Discord server, so I decided to stream my whole playthrough instead. I rushed to schedule a Discord event and tried to make the stream as early as possible because... I get really bad anxiety attacks knowing that I have an appointment coming up. 🥺 I usually don't schedule commitments for this reason, and always try to focus on completing commitments/ delivering projects as soon as possible... which is why my song cover videos usually just get uploaded whenever they're done. 🥹

I was expecting no one to show up, but so many of you did... and I'm really grateful. 🥹 Although a lot of times it probably seemed like I was just solving the puzzles on my own, asking the viewers for input allowed me to verbalize ideas and get some input, which then probed my mind to change perspectives and try new trains of thought. So, thank you for helping me to finish this game!!! 💜💜💜

The very interactive puzzles made the environment immersive despite the art style. It was a fun experience! I can't believe that I managed to do a 5+ hour stream when I was tired and numb from having anxiety attacks all day. TuT

I wasn't expecting to be on a stream again in the same week, but I was!

Last year, Ari asked Mogu, Yuraia and me if we wanted to play Chained Together. I agreed because I thought it might be fun: I'm not a fan of jump quests because I'm really bad at them, as mentioned during the Viewfinder stream, but maybe the social aspect of the game would be fun? Didn't change the fact that I felt I was bad at such games, which is why after our first collab. stream last year, I actually did a solo run to practice the controls.

But I was still... quite a burden at some parts of this week's session. TuT Maybe because it's been so long since we last played?

Still! We've finally finished our multiplayer run! Yuraia wasn't around to join us, but it still feels like a team achievement. :)

I... don't love the game enough to want to 100% the Steam achievements though. :P

Even though it's difficult for me to stream, I have no regrets. 💜 Would gladly do it again with/ for friends. 💜 (HMU!)

✨ Cover projects -- Finished editing my vocals for a collab. as planned!

I'm really looking forward to the finished cover!!! Felt like I could have provided a better vocal performance, but I'm satisfied with what I've done. Will be recording my part of the video tomorrow! Please look forward to it!

Didn't do much more this week as my ears are still really sensitive, and start hurting when there's loud noises. Hope it gets better soon. 🥺

✨ Gaming -- Visited Nightingale City!!!

Was happy to have new content to try, and boy did I feel challenged! Wish the story went just a little further than it did, but I'll be patient! 💜

To be fair, I was playing the game on Nightmare difficulty with 2 other friends, so while combat was a little difficult, we still sped through the new content quite quickly. I'll likely return to complete all the side quests in the new area as I didn't have the luxury to systematically explore all the nooks and crannies of the city.

It's been less than a week since the major patch was released, so I'll refrain from sharing pics of the city itself. What a joy it is to admire the environment though!

Where it begins!

Seems like I got to play quite a variety of games this week. Besides Nightingale, Viewfinder, and Chained Together, I:

• Tried to fight Fatalis in MonHunWorld by a friend's request... But I never really farmed for gear myself, so... It went badly and I lowkey rage quit. :P

• Played Don't Starve Together here and there too! Can't wait to try Wendy's abilities higher up the skill tree! I miss Wormwood though. :(

• Leveled up my crafters in FFXIV and set my raid HUD in preparation for patch 7.2. Will likely need to spend time the next 2 weeks whacking a striking dummy and practicing playing Dancer. 🙃

• Booted up Borderlands for the first time in quite a while to clear 1 side quest... and had to rush off. 🤔 When will I actually finish my 1st playthrough of the game...

✨ Touching grass -- Picked up a cosplay costume and attended a friend's wedding!

Yes, 4 weeks ago I attend a different friend's wedding! We all know each other, but it was pure coincidence that their wedding dates were really close. 🤣 I'm happy that I finally got to meet both their partners! 🥹💜 They're both so prettyyyyyy and seem like calm, fun people. 🥹💕 I hope both my friends and their partners have long, blissful marriages~ 💖💖💖

I have a cosplay photoshoot to attend at the end of March, and needed to pick up parts of my costume from a friend. Took the opportunity to catch up with her too! 💜

The costume is really pretty, but it's a little loose at some parts. Will find time next week to alter the costume before the shoot. ⭐️ It's been a long time since I last cosplayed, and I hope I'll do a good job for this one!

☆ FFXIV: Get comfortable playing Dancer

☆ IRL: Take photos of birds... If the rain doesn't stop me from celebrating my birthday at the local aviary. 🥹
