Looking back: Nov '25, Week 4

I was down with sore throat/ sinusitis almost the whole week. 🥺 Likely caught it from my partner cause he was unwell last weekend. Maybe I should've practiced safe distancing instead of stuffing my face into his shirt for snuggles. 🤣🤣🤣 Oh well! He took about 3-4 days to recover, but it's day 6 for me and my nasopharynx is still burning. 🙃

Now that I think about it, would it have been worse if I liked kisses?!?!?!?!? 😱😱😱 Or maybe I would have just fallen ill faster, I don't know. 🤣 Anyway, I've been feeling really lethargic as a result, but I still tried to make the most of my week!

✨ Gaming -- Finished Judgment, played lots of Baldur's Gate 3, and Nekoatsume. (Time to check one more time before I continue writing...)

... right, games!

Why did the devs make it such that Yagami just climbs on top of cars when he walks into them?! This was taken while standing on another car... I was having a good laugh until some thugs attacked. (Then again, who's the thug here?!)

Judgment was alright. Clocked about 42 hours if I excluded AFK time. I enjoyed playing it, and don't have any major complaints. But I was quick to uninstall and move on. The story didn't really speak to me, but it didn't feel like a chore trying to finish the game either, so I guess that's a good thing?

Combat was pretty fun (though much easier than some of the Yakuza titles), visuals were great, UI didn't feel clunky, and the protagonist is a nice chap. :)

Looking forward to Lost Judgment! ✨

The rest of my week was spent continuing my Baldur's Gate 3 streak. \o/ Woohoo!

"What if there are more cut-scenes you've yet to see?" 😈
"What if there are more cut-scenes you've yet to see?" 😈

I'm enjoying this play-through more than my Astarion-dating-sim run. I realized that I did not get to see some special conversations because I tended to let my friends do them while I positioned for combat. 🙃 I'm glad that I decided to continue playing this game despite having 100% my Steam achievements!

Replaying BG3 left me wondering if I would enjoy replaying Hogwarts Legacy, now that I have a better PC. Back then, I always needed to face my camera towards the floor to stop rendering reflective surfaces and the sky, because otherwise my laptop would lag like crazy despite playing the game on almost the lowest settings. But it's a shame that the story is linear, so maybe there isn't much value in replaying it. Loved the immersive experience though.

I doubt I'd be done with BG3 any time soon. 1000 hours here I come??? 🤔

... aaaand it's time to check on the cats.

✨ Something interesting -- Decorated my home for Christmas, and did some crochet!

I'm not very religious (the church will not tell me how to live my life!!! lol), and I'm not big on gift giving, so I always felt a little disconnected from Christmas festivities. But it's a damn good reason to change up home decor up until the Lunar New Year! 🤣

For 5 years, I stayed in a 2-room apartment (1 bedroom, 1 kitchen, 1 living room, 1 bathroom), and accumulated Christmas decorations sufficient for that space. But now that I live in a 4-room apartment (3 bedroom, 1 kitchen, 1 living room, 2 bathrooms), I'm sorely lacking in materials. 🤣 Still happy with the little touches around the house though. 💜

Yes, I liked Nekoatsume enough to buy lots of Ichiban Kuji tickets as a poor college student... and I think this plush was the last prize of the box? Or the "A prize". 🥹💜

Cat now gets to hang out with... a sock/ shoe tree! 🥹

I also set up an advent calendar on our wall! I've always wanted to try an advent calendar but it always looked like a waste of money... So last year my partner bought a wall-hung advent calendar with pouches that you can put stuff in! We each put something in it, and agreed to check out what we've prepared for each other after 12AM every day, since we're usually still awake by then. :D

So for day 1, I got a Christmas-edition tin of Redondo chocolate wafer sticks! 💜💜💜

Say hi to my santa desk friend. It's so cute. 🥹🥹🥹 Awkward dino has migrated to a shelf behind me.

I have some Christmas Redondo tins that I have kept for years because some are designed to have product labels that are easily removable and leave behind no adhesive residue, so they double up as functional Christmas decoration! 💖 Who doesn't love a thoughtfully-designed product?! 🥹

Before I fell really ill, I spent a day crocheting Christmas presents for some loved ones! Would love to share the finished product, but JUST in case they chance upon my post, I'll refrain from spoiling the surprise! I hope they like it... 🥺

... time to check on the cats.
